A Sonnet In V Minor

In times when I have seen the shining sun,
Its beckoning to bring me out of doors,
In times when I have down to creekside run,
My ears drawn to the droplets grouped in scores,

In times when I have heard the rushing creek,
And watched it foaming white, and sang its song,
In times when I have smelled the windy streak,
Its fast and freezing current brings along,

In times when I have used the scent of wind,
To learn about the weather coming soon,
In times when I have got the future pinned,
And know of midnight barely after noon,

   The times when I have seen the work of loam,
   I learn again to not forget to roam.
